Thanks for the presentation David, was really good to have this clear and structured information about Systemic thinking, natural systems, social systems, learning, Lady Gaga, Madonna and Michael Jackson. Is it possible to have your slides? There’s a lot of information I can use for my thesis, which is about future learning environments….was wondering as well if you have some references about enjoying learning and about the difficulties of dealing with different worldviews in collaborative work. I check Checkland’s SSM to see if I can use it but I’m still trying to look for more info. The practical issue is getting a bit complicated, I’m now on a episteme phase and need to move forward.

On future learning environments, it’s possible that the Search Conference (e.g. Emery and Purser http://books.google.com/books?id=SYsTAQAAMAAJ ), Structured Dialogic Dialog (see the Institute for 21st Century Agoras at http://globalagoras.org/ ), or Scenario Planning (see Ramirez, Selsky and van der Heijden at http://books.google.com/books?id=w4t8T2Q8v68C ) might be approaches.
